Building Work Has Started on The Wilko Johnson Visitor Centre in Wrabness!!!
Thanks to the kind donations received to support this wonderful project, work has started and the footings for the Wilko Johnson Visitor Centre have been laid!
The Visitor centre, named in honour of one of our most famous residents, Wilko Johnson, will provide the necessary amenities and shelter from the elements to all those visiting both the Woodland of Remembrance at Oakfield Wood and the beautiful surroundings of this stunning Wildlife Trust site. Wilko was a passionate advocate of wildlife and admirer of the local beauty and represents the feelings of all those who wish to be laid to rest here which is why we would like to build the facilities in his name. Like Wilko, everyone in the site has a story about what led them to come here and we would love to hear yours. Wilko is by no means the only person who wanted to be laid to rest in such a stunning place of natural beauty, as the site has been welcoming people of all religions and faiths for over 25 years.
Many people have the wish to come to somewhere that is so embracing, on protected ground and to become part of the beautiful scenery and contributing to the local wildlife and natural habitats.
We still need a lot of help to create the visitor centre on the Wrabness Nature Reserve and are so grateful to all those who give their kind support.
